yea I hit one from the centre circle line when I was in school once with a gale blowing behind me, no bounce, infact it went like an exorcet into the top corner of the goal, wish I had it on camera lol.
I probably would have gone 100 yards or more before it hit the grounds had I missed the net, or into orbit – lol.

If you know anything about soccer, the keeper doesn’t stand on the goal line… He moves to the top of the box, especially when the ball is that far down the field… Many scores happen when the player just pops it over the keepers head!!!

in response to several comments… I’m a mom of a high school girl football/soccer player. If if was my team, I would not be taking the video of both sides. That’s why they’re not looking at the “defender”. Secondly, I don’t think this video was posted to defend US soccer – it was posted because the goal was amazing! Of course it was a lucky bounce – I’m sure SMU didn’t anticipate that it would score, but it did. That’s why the video is on here and Ryan is celebrated!

The USA certianly doesn’t suck at sports, but they do suck a nut at soccer. Of course they qualify for the world cup, the only competition is mexico and costa rica. Canada is pure shit and all the other countries are tiny and terrible. And in the confederations cup, they were getting their asses handed to them until they beat spain. even then, it is just an upset it doesn’t mean the us is a great team

yeah? I guess the U.S. sucks because we beat Spain and qualified 1st in our group?? Just wait till the World Cup. First you criticize Americans for being in love with an inferior sport, “American football” that’s fine. Then you talk shit on our football team even though USA is quite good.

Not to mention we fucking dominate the Olympics, so yeah, USA sucks at sports….
