lampard is a top player with a super team around him gerrard is a super player with an average team around him. lampard dont make chelsea, lampard has nothing to live up to, gerrard carries a legacy on his shoulders that chelsea could never understand. even utd dont argue the obvious its only ever chelsea. maybe because they could not get gerrard or maybe because they got another 16 to go like the big boys.
